Built to high-quality, hand-laid fiberglass standards, the Sail Dink features a white outside hull and a full gelcoat inner liner in a non-reflecting, non-skid beige with black gunnel guard on top and side and accented by a center mahogany seat. A 6-inch band of foam 1.5-inches thick provides gunnel flotation between the sides and inner liner. Additional foam flotation is placed in both the front and rear tanks. Other standard features include chrome oar lock sockets with nylon inserts, a bow towing ring backed by an aluminum plate, an interior to exterior hull drain, a motor mount block, and a deep skeg for positive towing control when used as a yacht tender. There is a mahogany plywood daggerboard, rudder, and centerboard trunk cover. The halyard-controlled, two-piece mast stores inside the boat and can be removed in minutes to convert the Sail Dink into a conventional 8-foot row that can also be motored. Sails are offered in two color combinations: red-white or blue-white. Additional options include a davit ring kit, 5-foot wooden oars, round chrome oar lock horns, and a blue acrylic boat cover.
