With an extra-large activity platform at the transom, the Cobalt 226 was built with sustained fun in mind. There`s an ice chest and a concealed boarding ladder at the transom with a walk-through to the cockpit, where another ice chest and an AM/FM digital cassette player are standard. The helm includes a depth gauge and an hour meter, a leather tilt steering wheel, and a remote control for the stereo. There`s also Cobalt`s trademark flip-lip captain`s chair, which allows the driver to safely rise above the windshield. Power plants, either MerCruiser or Volvo sterndrives, range from 190 to 415 horsepower, all with a five-year warranty. Optional features include a stainless steel ski tower, an air compressor, various canvas combinations, and a CD player.
