The Santa Cruz Coastal Flyer has a top speed of 33 knots, cruises at 25 knots, and provides a range of more than 500 nautical miles with a fuel capacity of only 250 gallons. This David Gerr design combined with Santa Cruz Yachts` state-of-the-art construction achieves these results driven only by a single 420 hp Yanmar engine. This Yacht is far easier to control than a conventional twin-powered boat. The Coastal Flyer includes a Docking Joystick that integrates the bow thruster with a Hamilton 322 Jet Propulsion System so captains can turn the Flyer on its axis, move forward or back, and crab directly left or right with ease. The Santa Cruz Coastal Flyer is available in both Pilot House and Soft-Top versions. The spacious open cockpit is well suited to cruising, fishing, or partying. The Pilot House can be configured with ample seating for six at a large table which converts to bunks for two. Belowdecks the Coastal Flyer offers elegant accommodations for two, a generous galley, ample storage space, and an enclosed head with shower. The seakindly Gerr deep-V hull, with its powerful bow shape, maximizes the comfortable ride with minimum spray and motion even at top speeds. Strength and durability are provided by Santa Cruz Yachts` cored composite construction using Kevlar and E-glass. This boat is designed for coastal offshore cruising and fishing, as well as gunkholing in inshore bays and freshwater lakes.
