The Freedom 45 combines a big, stable hull with a rig that delivers easy control right into the hands of the helmsman with all of the necessary accessories to comfortably handle any sail function. The electric winch helps meet this mandate, as does the layout of the mainsheet and jib sheet, and the oversized blocks and tackle. The engine controls are located at the helm station along with the engine panel providing an easy view of all instruments including oil pressure, water temp, tachometer and hour meter. Teak and ash are the standard finishes, but unusual woods like bird`s eye maple and cherry can also be selected. The main salon features a self-contained bar, with bottle and glassware holders and a drop-down compartment door that makes a great mixing surface. In the cabin, two comfortable swivel chairs may be selected, replacing the standard settee, to create a functional and attractive arrangement. An optional entertainment center will accommodate a CD player, television, VCR, and stereo. Indirect lighting and an ingenious passive ventilation system complete the perfect belowdecks environment.
