The RIBCRAFT 4.8 design incorporates the qualities of exceptional safety, strength, stability, speed and comfort. The late naval architect George Marvin, famous for his work on RIBS around the world, designed this boat specifically for RIBCRAFT. High bow sheer on a deep V hull gives exceptional stability in rough weather and keeps the bow high in swells and heavy chop.
The multi-layered, woven fabric reinforced hull benefits from a combination of brush and hand-laying techniques, integral stringers, overlaid with both chopped strand and woven combination mats and commercial resins which are all Lloyds approved. These overlays extend out across the bottom of the hull forming extra reinforcement at all critical areas. The stringer system has been calculated to maintain maximum strength, rigidity and hull integrity under load without needlessly increasing weight. The use of an integral stringer system controls more closely overall shell weight, thereby increasing performance and lowering necessary power options.
The tubes are made from Dupont Hypalon, the finest material available. Because of its strength and exceptionally hardwearing qualities, this material is universally accepted by the industry as the premier material. Hypalon is immensely strong, wear resistant, waterproof, and immune to hazards of sunlight, gas, oil, acids & contaminants.
With years of refinements, this boat is widely accepted by both the commercial and leisure markets. RIBCRAFT can accommodate individual requirements for customers as diverse as leisure users in sun filled marinas to factory ships in the North Sea.
