Boat Description

The RIBCRAFT 5.85 offers the ultimate combination of strength and comfort. Launched over twelve years ago, this boat is a true offshore RIB capable of handling the most furious of conditions. Built to exacting standards, it satisfies organizations and individuals who regard safety as a primary objective. Designed exclusively for RIBCRAFT by George Marvin, the authority on RIB design, this workhorse incorporates a high swept bow on a deep �€œV�€� hull and full length spray rails. The multi-layered, woven fabric reinforced hull benefits from a combination of brush and hand-laying techniques, integral stringers, overlaid with both chopped strand and woven combination mats and commercial resins which are all Lloyds approved. These overlays extend out across the bottom of the hull forming extra reinforcement at all critical areas. The stringer system has been calculated to maintain maximum strength, rigidity and hull integrity under load without needlessly increasing weight. The tubes are made from Dupont Hypalon, the finest material available. Because of its strength and exceptionally hardwearing qualities, this material is universally accepted by the industry as the premier material. Hypalon is immensely strong, wear resistant, waterproof, and immune to hazards of sunlight, gas, oil, acids & contaminants. Since RIBCRAFT is one of only a few who make their own tubes, quality is tightly controlled. With over 500 hulls in active use and years of improvements, the boat offers many qualities not found on most RIBS: console and seating glassed to the deck - not bolted, comfortable seating with high backrests made to take rough weather, tubes that are integrally hinged to the hull to offer additional absorption.
