Designed by Haydn Gozzard, the 27` sailing trawler was meant to eliminate the hassles of summer dockage/winter storage and the physical strength that is often required to operate a sailboat. It is intended to maximize lack of time while reducing the negatives associated with ownership. It was tested over a 6-year period on a wide geographical area and it proved equally at home on protected inland waterways, the challenging rivers of the Mississippi and the distant ports of the Caribbean. She is especially adept in shoal waters that are encountered for transit, venturing to them for solitude, adventure or to catch an elusive fish.

Cockpit
In the cockpit which is huge for a boat of this size, on the starboard side, is a cockpit shower and an ice box for refreshments. The steering station, equipped with wheel steering, is opposite with a fold out seat and instruments for navigation. There is a roof over the cockpit which is ideal for canvas curtains affording protection against insects, inclement weather and the intense UV rays of the sun. It has opening ports to control the sails from the cockpit. There is an exit door in the transom with a swim platform that extends into the water. It opens from both the cockpit side and externally. Sail controls are lead aft easing the discomfort of extremely inclement weather . Cockpit comings are perfect locations for downriggers, and BBQ`s. The main is equipped with lazy jacks. Further forward is large opening hatch.
