Boat Description

The revolutionary Hydrofoil supported Catamaran semi-rigid inflatable boat is capable of speed, comfort and fuel efficiency that exceeds anything in its class. The Stealth Sport 6.5 hull is an asymmetrical catamaran designed hulls supported by two inflatable demi-hulls. What makes the Stealth so different is that the hull is fitted with a patented stainless steel hydrofoil system develped by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Karl-Gunter Hoppe at the University of Stellenbosch. This makes the craft go faster, smoother and drier with extraordinary saving on fuel. The fixed hydrofoil system consists of a main foil, shaped like a `stealth` aircraft wing near the crafts centre and a pair of trim foils at the transom. Automatic dynamic trim stabilization is achieved by the hydrofoil surface-effect which acts on the hydrofoil when approaching the water surface from above or beneath.
