Boat Description

The revolutionary Hydrofoil supported Catamaran semi-rigid inflatable boat is capable of speed, comfort and fuel efficiency that exceeds anything in its class. The Stealth Sport 8 hull is an asymmetrical catamaran designed hulls supported by two inflatable demi-hulls. What makes the Stealth so different is that the hull is fitted with a patented stainless steel hydrofoil system develped by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Karl-Gunter Hoppe at the University of Stellenbosch. This makes the craft go faster, smoother and drier with extraordinary saving on fuel. The fixed hydrofoil system consists of a main foil, shaped like a `stealth` aircraft wing near the crafts centre and a pair of trim foils at the transom. Automatic dynamic trim stabilization is achieved by the hydrofoil surface-effect which acts on the hydrofoil when approaching the water surface from above or beneath.
